Why do I need to keep my wort cold while fermenting?

Temperature control has a major impact on the flavor of the finished beer. Fermenting above the desired temperature range can produce fruity off flavors, esters and harsh fusel alcohols.

Will my fermenter fit in the Cool Brewing Fermentation Cooler?

15/25/30 litre Ampi fermenters will fit in the Fermentation Cooler. (a 60ltr Ampi will fit in the Fermentation cooler but will need an external airlock)

How do I keep my Fermentation Cooler cold?

Simply add ice or cold packs. We like to use frozen 2L bottles of water.

How much ice does it take to lower fermentation temperatures?

The amount of ice needed will vary based on individual circumstances, however as a rough guide for a 20 litre batch, one 2 litre bottle of ice will lower a fermenting wort an average of 2.8 degrees for 24 to 36 hours before the ice thaws completely.

How do I take samples while my fermenter is in the fermentation cooler?

There is a sample flap at the front which you can unzip to check the progress of your fermentation.

We had a great turnout for our 3rd Homebrew Competition with Albion Park Agricultural Show.
With 67 entries to taste; we couldn't have got through them all without the fantastic help of 14 judges and 6 helpers.
We appreciate each and every one of you!

Without these 20 people there would be no competition.
